On November 30th Demcon defense & security systems participated as an exhibitor at the NEDS, the NIDV Exhibition for Defence & Security took place in Rotterdam. This fair was intended for representatives from industry, government, and knowledge institutions.

John Manrho, managing director Demcon defense & security systems, talked with VADM Jan-Willem Hartman, commanding officer of COMMIT (Commando Materieel en IT). John: “It was a good conversation on the current demands and challenges of the Armed Forces in the field of procurement and innovation. Especially the wish to accelerate was a point of discussion.”

The team of Demcon defense & security systems talked to a lot of representatives from the armed forces, industry, and other stakeholders. We showed some of our systems in the field of autonomy & simulation and high energy & cooling solutions currently being developed in projects for the Armed Forces. Also, the E-Lighter, a mobile power generator intended to support the dismounted soldier, attracted a lot of attention.

John: “It was a good day to present Demcon, create visibility and to have discussions with many stakeholders in the field of defense and security.
Not only to keep ourselves up to date but also to chat with ‘old’ acquaintances.”
